About Us

We are a small group of furries in the Guelph, Ontario, area. We aim to bring furries together for local events, meet-ups, and other gatherings. Although we are located in Guelph, everyone is welcome to join us.

Why Royal City?

In 1827, the City of Guelph was named to honour the British Royal Family, the Hanoverians. They were descendants from the house of Welf, also known as Guelf or Guelph, pronounced the same. This is why, over a century later, you will see people referring to Guelph as “The Royal City”.

We are proud to announce we have partnered with Furocity Events! They are a not for profit A/V solutions company based out of Niagara Ontario. They have provided professional lighting set ups for many events, including the Furnal Equinox dead dog dances!

FAQ

Is there an age requirement?

Yes – this is a 19+ event. Please present a government-issued photo ID when you enter to have your ticket scanned.

What does my ticket include?

Admission to the venue, light food options, free on-site parking.

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

The venue does not permit smoking cigarettes, e-cigarettes or cannabis. Per Ontario law, you must be at least 9 metres from any entrance/exit to the venue if you wish to smoke or vape.

Are drinks included?

No. There will be a cash bar (debit & credit are also accepted) for alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages. Water will be available free of charge.

What drinks will be available?

House Liquor: Absolut Vodka, Captain Morgan Rum, Forty Creek Rye & Beefeater Gin.
House Wine: Pelee Island Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc.
Domestic Beer: Sleeman Products and a variety of other standards like Bud Light, Canadian, etc.
Soft Drinks: Orange Juice, Cranberry Juice, Coke, Diet Coke, Ginger Ale, and Sprite.

What food options will be available?

Each ticket includes 3 sliders (one of each): Beef burger, Philly cheesesteak, and turkey cranberry; and a large soft pretzel with dips. Please note this is not a plated meal, and you are free to sit, stand & mingle while food is available.

Are there dietary/allergy accommodations for food?

Yes, after purchasing your ticket, please email us the required accommodations.

Can I bring outside food?

Unfortunately, no. However, there are many nearby restaurants if you want to grab a quick bite to eat.

Where can I get changed if I bring my fursuit?

There is a large change room with an attached bathroom that will be clearly labeled for changing as needed.

Can I wear kink/fetish gear?

Although this is a 19+ event, attendees must be fully clothed while in the venue. Face coverings (i.e., Pup hoods) are okay, as well as any accessories you wish to wear overtop of clothing/fursuits.

When does everything start?

Our schedule is as follows:
5:00 PM – Doors open
6:00–7:30 PM – Food is served
8:00–9:30 PM – Dance starts with DJ Kandiwolf
9:30–10:00 PM – Dance intermission
10:00–11:30 PM – DJ Dodge
Midnight – Venue closes

Where can I store my bags/luggage during the event?

There is a coat check area for quick pickup and dropoff, and if needed we have access to another segment of ballroom for bags. (Please understand we cannot take responsibility for lost or stolen items. Please treat everyone’s property with respect.)

I'm coming from out of town. Is there any accommodation available?

Yes! There are a few hotels nearby:
Comfort Inn (closest): 480 Silvercreek Pkwy N
Super 8: 281 Woodlawn Rd W
Hampton Inn: 725 Imperial Rd N
We recommend booking accommodation sooner rather than later, as there are other events that weekend in the city of Guelph.

When will tickets be available for purchase?

If you submitted our initial interest form, you will be e-mailed a link to the ticket sale page when it becomes available. We expect this will happen on or around March 1st, 2024. Tickets are limited.

If tickets are sold out, can you make more available for purchase?

We have a room capacity limit that we cannot exceed. If you wanted to come and tickets were sold out, please let us know! This is important for us when looking at venues for future events.

I bought a ticket, but now I can't come. Can I get a refund?

We cannot offer refunds due to our payment arrangements with the venue. If you are unable to come, please offer your ticket to someone who can. We may be able to offer refunds for future events

I'm not coming, but I want to see more events like this. How can I support you?

You can donate via our ticket page! Additional support like this will help us with future events.
